White label WordPress maintenance for agencies
White label WordPress maintenance means another company does the upkeep on your clients' sites while the client only ever deals with you. SquareJuice does it for $33 a site a month, or $99 for a WooCommerce store, and every change comes back with proof you can forward.
What you are actually buying
Most white label maintenance is a team of people in a queue. You send a ticket, someone picks it up, and you find out it is done when they tell you it is done. SquareJuice is software that runs one loop on every request, the same way every time:
- A client request arrives by email. You forward it, or point your support address at SquareJuice.
- The change is made on that site's own staging copy. The live site is not touched.
- Checks run: the page loads cleanly, before and after screenshots are compared on desktop and mobile, and the change is matched against what the client asked for.
- You get a preview email with the screenshots and an Approve link.
- On your approval it is published, and the live site is checked again.
- If a check fails after publishing, the change is reversed automatically and you are told.
- You get a receipt for the change, and a care report for each site every week.
What the client sees
Replies go out from your own support address, in your name. Each automated message carries a short line saying it was handled by automation. Nothing mentions SquareJuice unless you choose to.
What it costs
| Plan | Price | For |
|---|---|---|
| Site | $33 a site a month | Any WordPress site |
| Store | $99 a store a month | Any site taking orders through WooCommerce |
There is no site minimum and no contract. You add or remove a site any day.
What it handles today, and what it does not
Today it handles the requests that fill an agency inbox: text and content changes, image alt text, popups and banners, and questions about what a site currently has. Image swaps and menu changes are built and in testing. Anything near checkout, payments, user accounts or DNS is never changed automatically. Those go to you with a note saying what was asked and what was found.
It works on sites hosted on WP Engine today. More hosts are in build, along with requests from Slack and GoHighLevel and a free weekly scan.
How it compares with hiring it out
| A white label support team | SquareJuice | |
|---|---|---|
| Who does the work | A person in a queue | Software, on a staging copy |
| When you see the change | Often after it is live | Before it is live, with screenshots |
| Proof for your client | A ticket marked done | A receipt with before and after |
| If it breaks something | You find out from the client | It is reversed and you are told |
| Pricing | Per site or per plan | Per site, billed to the day |
A team of people is the better choice when you need judgment calls, design work or a phone number to ring at 2am. SquareJuice is the better choice for the steady stream of small requests that have a right answer.
Questions
Is white label WordPress maintenance the same as a WordPress care plan?
A care plan is what you sell your client. White label maintenance is who does the work behind it. Many agencies sell a care plan and have a white label provider carry it out.
Will my clients know I use SquareJuice?
No. Replies come from your own support address. Automated messages say they were handled by automation, and that is the only disclosure.
Does anything go live without my approval?
Not by default. Every change waits for you. You can choose to let low risk work through on its own later.
What happens if a change breaks the site?
It is caught on staging first. If a check fails after a change is published, the change is reversed automatically and you get a note with what happened.
Which hosts are supported?
WP Engine today. Other hosts are in build.
